Remember those cute baby chicks I borrowed for art class awhile back? Well, my neighbor offered to give me three of them. They are all grown up and just starting to lay eggs. Here's a picture of the coop I want to have built, but maybe a little bigger. So as soon my husband and his friend build it, we will be welcoming Ruby, Pearl and Lemon Drop to our ever growing farm.
Wow, Karin! What's next? You have bees, chickens, and dogs. I think you need a pond full of turtles. Or Koi.

Eggs & honey to hand! Are you a bread baker? I am imagining some very perfect Sunday mornings in your future...
ReplyDeleteWe kept chickens for a while after I brought home the chicks from our Kindergarten incubator project. I designed a shed for our back yard that incorporated a little chicken hutch and run. I would love to do it again, and I like this coop - where did you find it?? Nothing beats fresh eggs!
ReplyDeleteWhat type of chickens are these girls?
