This is what I got while trying to help rescue a dog in the street. For such a tiny white fluff ball, she had a serious bite. I know it wasn't her fault. She was completely terrified. After she chomped on my sister's hand, I tried to help and ended up with a broken finger and the nail ripped off. Aren't you glad I didn't show you that?

So we put up signs and canvased the neighborhood. She turned out to be such a sweet little lap dog, but didn't blend well with the rest of the farm.
Today it was time to take her to the shelter so she'd have a better chance of finding her owners. I really hope she finds her way back home soon.

  1. ooh sounds nasty! glad I can only see the bandage!
I'm one of those people that brings home random stray dogs too, good for you, I know it might not feel it now, but you did a great thing and should be proud of yourself!

I hope she finds a great home now.

  2. Oh my! So sorry for the bite! You are right that she was probably terrified...poor doggy! Hope your finger heals up fast!

  3. Ah, sorry to hear you got a nasty bite, but you did the right thing. Thank you for saving this little dog from the street. My husband did the same thing once, and got a bite as well from a little fluff ball who was trapped in the center lane of a busy highway!
