Pannikin Project Report
Carol, Francesca and I have been working on our "Buddha Christmas" installment for several weeks now. We have a long way to go but I thought I'd give you all a sneak peek at our progress.
Try to envision three canvas panels sewn at the top and bottom to hold sticks of bamboo which will help weigh the painting down, keeping the panels flat.
We plan on painting Pannikin's wall downstairs like a buddhist temple and hanging these in the middle. I really like the fact that each piece looks so different.
Mine is the lime Buddha with geometric background. Looks a bit alien right now.
Francesca is painting a buddha statue coming out of the water with floating lotus flowers. Carol is painting the reclining Buddha.
I hope to have more pictures of our progress next Monday.
p.s. I've been in the mood to clear out a bunch of "stuff" in my house and studio. Maybe it's just this time of year that makes me want to organized every crevice of my home. Anyone else feeling the same?

Loving the bright colors!
ReplyDelete& yup, clearing out again here too. Starting to get rid of all the things we have, that won't make another move. I'm finding it funny that when I've made the decision to ditch something, my attachment goes up in smoke. Laughing at myself for previously shipping it all the way across the world too!
Can't wait to see these!
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been clearing out for about a month. I may never see the end of it.
These pieces are coming along beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI love being organized!!! My brain feels more organized when my "stuff" is in order.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KARIN! Love, Lisa
