Sunflower Daaaze

Everyday a new one opens up its bright sunny face in the garden. Art and I make it a ritual to check them daily. We stare... and then one of us usually runs to grab a camera.
Also, the pumpkins growing underneath are really going nuts. I had to move some things around so that we could walk by them without crushing their long runners. Plants get priority over garden tables and buckets here.
This has got to be the best sunflower/pumpkin patch we've had in years. I'm already thinking about next years crop. I want to go bigger....much bigger now that I know they grow better on the north side of our house. Maybe I'll even stick some in the front yard. I don't think my neighbors would care....do you?

  1. My kids grew 10 wonderful sunflowers in our garden last year, we stared at them everyday too, They decided not to plant any this year though but they have put in a thornless blackberry bush which is growing really quickly and a pear tree too!! :)
