Sweet Max....aka Cheeseburger

Sadness has struck our house again as we mourn the loss of our handsome boy Max.
He passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon and took a chunk of our hearts with him. He had been suffering from random seizures this year that the vet said could eventually end with a stroke. I just didn't think it would be so soon.
There is nothing better than having 16 pounds of love greet you when you pull up in front of our house, race you to the door and want you to carry him in like a baby as he rubs his head into your shoulder.
He always looked both ways before crossing the street and waited every morning (8am sharp) at our neighbors doorstep for his morning salmon ball treat.
I know we will always have animals in our life, but I sure wish this grieving part wasn't included. We miss him so much.

  1. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet kitty. It's always so hard, I wish the grieving part wasn't included either. I have two aging kitties myself and I'm dreading the inevitable already. :(
    Hugs.

  7. The last time I came to the house, Max trotted out to the driveway as I rounded the cul de sac and waited to greet me as I opened the car door. He was such a special cat. Such a lover, and a character. I'll miss snuggling his handsome face. He's left with a big chunk of all our hearts. Thinking of you and Art and your feline/canine family. A big loss for all. xoxo
