Spring
It's that time of year when the weeds have taken over and have to be picked before the fun part of gardening can begin. So far we're about 1/2 way done. Our goal is to have everything spruced up by Easter, but I don't think we'll make the deadline this year. Painting walls and baseboard have consumed most of my time and have kept me from creating anything knew in the studio. One more coat of paint for the bathroom and I can check that off my list. Pictures soon I promise.
***Check out the light cover I made from a food tent I got at Anthropology a while ago. It makes such a pretty accent don't you think?

Oh my cuteness!
I've been fighting a cold so I don't have anything to share except these cute photos I took of my sister's dog. He's all grown up now. Remember when he was just a wee puppy?
Oh yeah, I almost forgot........
I have some GREAT NEWS!!!!!
The little dog I found last week has found his family. This makes me so happy.

Found Dog
Here's a picture of the little muffin head I found. If you know anyone missing their dog or see any lost dog signs posted in my area, please send them here. She looks kind of big in this picture, but in reality she was small enough to slip through my sisters picket fence.
Even though I had to take her to a shelter, I'm still trying to find her owners. I really hope she wasn't abandoned. Please spread the word.

OUCH!!!!!!
This is what I got while trying to help rescue a dog in the street. For such a tiny white fluff ball, she had a serious bite. I know it wasn't her fault. She was completely terrified. After she chomped on my sister's hand, I tried to help and ended up with a broken finger and the nail ripped off. Aren't you glad I didn't show you that?
So we put up signs and canvased the neighborhood. She turned out to be such a sweet little lap dog, but didn't blend well with the rest of the farm.
Today it was time to take her to the shelter so she'd have a better chance of finding her owners. I really hope she finds her way back home soon.

She's done it again!
Look at Briana Edelmans new kisslock clutches featuring my chickadee fabric. I love that she lines the inside with a complimentary color in silk fabric. You do such beautiful work Briana.
You can find these and many others in her Etsy Shop.

"Stitch and Bitch"
Yesterday, I invited a group of friends over for a sewing workshop. Sue and Joan can make just about anything while Sheila and I are still pretty green.
We decided to keep the first project simple and make some pillowcases.
I found this pretty flannel peony print by free-spirit fabrics. LOVE the orange and lime combination. These will look perfect with my new citrus sheets.
Sheila was lucky enough to get some great personal instruction from Sue and made the green ones all wrapped and ready to impress her husband with (he can sew and teased her that she'd have a hard time). She even added a double trim to hers. This was her first time at a sewing machine since she was 8? (Well I guess she showed him!)
Next on the list........aprons and duvets.

Corners of my house
I couldn't take it anymore and dusted, mopped and vacuumed till all signs of construction was just a memory. The house feels so much better.
The major work is done and now it's my turn. I'm supposed to start patching, texturing, priming and painting today. I watched several design shows last night to help motivate me, but by morning it was all gone again.
This little corner of my house makes me happy right now. I'm a sucker for greens and blues in these shades. Gets me all excited for summer.
So wish me luck......I'm about to put my grubby clothes on and get started.
What's that?........You want to come help? (Anica?.. Lara?....anybody?)
Come on over!
